Congratutlations to Orchard Middle School for winning the $1,000 suprrise Silver Lining grant on Thursday, September 8th. Orchard's motto is: Learning for ALL - whatever it takes! They have been awarded grants from CFNCW in the past enabling them to purchase mariachi instruments for musical education and heart monitors for phyiscal education. Both have given them means to provide opportunities for children to learn new music and technology they might otherwise not receive that exposure. Principal Mike Hopkins and Assistant Prinicpal Bill Eagle accepted the award presented by CFNCW Executive Director Beth Stipe along with board members Krista Beck and Lisa Day.
