Congratutlations to the Chelan County Historical Society for winning the surprise $1,000 Silver Lining grant on Monday, September 5th. The Historical Society is a nonprofit organization devoted to collecting and preserving the local and regional history. They own and operate the Cashmere Museum and Pioneer Village which displays a great number of artifacts, some dating back 9,000 years. The Pioneer Village is set below the museum and includes 20 original structures brought to the local area. Both facilities provide fun, educational experiences in a historic atmosphere. Fred Harvey, building and grounds manager, provided us with some information on the museum and the grounds - watch the video to learn more.
